Install Routerly
Overview
Routerly is delivered as a snap and runs on Ubuntu Core. This provides transactional updates, rollback, and confinement, which are critical for routers deployed in the field.
At this stage, Routerly installs a control plane framework rather than a full routing stack.
Requirements
- Ubuntu Core 22 or newer- Network connectivity- SSH access to the device
Install
Once Routerly is published, installation will be done via:
sudo snap install routerly
This will install:
The Routerly control plane
Supporting services
CLI (routerly)
Verify
routerly status
You should see Routerly running and reporting the local system state. Notes
Routerly does not yet configure routing protocols automatically. This release establishes the control plane framework and deployment model.
